Samsung has unveiled its latest Galaxy lineup at the Unpacked event in New York, showcasing new bendable phones that are thinner, faster, and more durable. The flagship device, Galaxy Z Fold 7, boasts an 8-inch screen when unfolded and has been significantly slimmed down to just 8.9mm, making it Samsung’s thinnest and lightest foldable phone to date. Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, ensuring seamless performance across various tasks.
Despite its sleek design, Samsung has ensured durability with features like an Armour FlexHinge, Gorilla Glass, and an Advanced Armour Aluminium frame. The device also sports a larger 6.5-inch cover screen, an upgraded triple-lens camera with a 200MP main lens, and new features like auto image editing and audio noise removal.
In addition to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Samsung is set to release the Z Flip 7, offering a more expansive front display and improved design. The Z Flip 7 will come with a bigger battery and Samsung’s Exynos chip for enhanced performance, priced at £1,049. For those looking for a more budget-friendly option, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE will be available at £849, catering to users seeking a more affordable bendable phone experience.
Annika Bizon, Mobile Experience VP of Product and Marketing at Samsung UK & Ireland, highlighted the innovative features of the new devices, emphasizing the integration of powerful hardware with Galaxy AI to enhance user experience and productivity. The new lineup aims to redefine smartphone innovation by anticipating user needs and providing advanced functionalities in a sleek and compact form factor.
