An expert in security has disclosed the safest area within your residence to take refuge in case of an assault by Russia, amid a chilling ultimatum issued by one of Putin’s associates.

Dmitry Rogozin, a senator and combat veteran, previously serving as deputy prime minister and head of the space agency, has cautioned about the potential targeting of numerous defense-related sites in Britain. He has identified over 20 locations in the UK that could face attacks.

Recently, Rogozin shared a map showing 23 defense sites as part of Russia’s latest threat. These sites include military and industrial locations across all four UK nations.

The Putin ally obtained the map from a UK government document titled ‘Defence Industrial Strategy 2025: Making Defence an Engine for Growth’.

These ominous statements follow former British defense secretary Ben Wallace’s suggestion to render Crimea uninhabitable and unviable from a Russian perspective.

Vladimir Solovyov, a propagandist whose TV monologues are Kremlin-scripted, remarked on Rogozin’s list of potential British targets. He implied repercussions for those targeted by the attacks.

While the likelihood of Russia committing such atrocities against the UK remains low, the recent threats have raised concerns among Britons, prompting discussions on potential survival strategies.

Dr. Arnab Basu, a nuclear expert and CEO of Kromek Group plc, advised residents on actions to take in the event of a nuclear strike on a UK city, emphasizing the importance of seeking shelter promptly and taking necessary precautions to minimize exposure to radioactive fallout.

Dr. Basu also cautioned against immediately fleeing the area, highlighting the significance of shielding oneself from fallout and relying on stored resources for survival in the initial aftermath.

The International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) recommended seeking shelter in the central part of a building or a basement to enhance protection before, during, and after a nuclear blast.

Despite the assumption that London’s extensive underground network might offer safety, concerns have been raised about the ability of modern nuclear weapons to penetrate deeper than historical bombs, potentially affecting even underground locations like Hampstead station.

In the event of a major city being targeted by a nation like Russia, staying outside the blast zone would likely provide the best chance of survival.

Various factors, including radiation radius, fireball radius, air blast radius, and thermal radiation radius, influence the reach of nuclear blasts and their impact on surrounding areas.

While certain locations outside the immediate blast range may offer relative safety, the remote island Foula in the Shetland Isles could be deemed the safest
