Android users are advised to promptly check for the latest Google software update in their device settings. The recent release addresses a total of 107 security vulnerabilities within the Android operating system, including two zero-day issues that cybercriminals are actively exploiting.

According to Google, the most critical security flaw identified is within the Framework component, potentially leading to remote denial of service without needing additional execution privileges. The severity of the issue increases if device protections are disabled or bypassed.

Owners of Pixel devices are urged to install the update immediately. However, users of other Android manufacturers like Samsung, Honor, and OnePlus may experience delays in receiving the update, emphasizing the importance of updating as soon as it is available.

Google highlights that newer Android versions incorporate enhancements that make exploitation more challenging and encourages all users to update whenever feasible.

To update an Android device:
– Connect to Wi-Fi for faster and more reliable downloads.
– Ensure your phone is charged to at least 50% or keep it plugged in.
– Navigate to Settings, then System, and System update.
– Select Check for update and proceed to download any available updates.
– After the download completes, tap Install, and your phone will restart to finalize the process.

It is strongly recommended for Android users to install the update promptly to safeguard their devices against these newly identified threats.
