Jake Paul faced criticism from the referee who exclaimed that fans did not pay to witness such poor performance before Anthony Joshua knocked him out. The audience in Miami started booing after just 40 seconds as Paul struggled to keep his distance and ended up grappling with Joshua on the ground. Despite lasting six rounds, longer than expected, Paul resorted to unconventional tactics resembling wrestling takedowns.

Referee Christopher Young intervened during the fourth round, reprimanding both fighters for their behavior. Paul, post-fight, acknowledged defeat, mentioning his broken jaw and expressing determination to continue fighting and pursue the cruiserweight world title. Paul’s team confirmed his injury and expected recovery time of four to six weeks.

Following the match, Joshua admitted it wasn’t his best performance but praised Paul for his resilience. Despite the outcome, Joshua’s focus was on executing his strategy and securing the victory. Paul, on the other hand, plans to take a break from boxing and faces a potential 60-day suspension from the Florida Athletic Commission pending further assessments.
