Lidl has issued a significant warning regarding a product due to potential health risks for certain individuals. Customers who may be affected are advised to refrain from consuming the item and return it to the store for a full refund.

The supermarket’s product recall focuses on the ‘Deluxe Red Cabbage with Apple, Dried Cranberries & Spices’ as it contains milk, a detail not prominently displayed on the label. This poses a specific concern for individuals with milk allergies or intolerances.

In an official statement, Lidl stated that the product is being recalled because the milk ingredient was not highlighted prominently on the packaging, potentially endangering those with milk allergies.

The recall applies to all 480g packs of the spices, with no restrictions based on batch code or use-by date within Lidl’s ‘Deluxe’ range. Lidl confirmed that no other Deluxe products are impacted by this recall.

If you suspect you have purchased the affected product, you can return it to your local Lidl store for a full refund. Lidl expressed regret for any inconvenience caused and appreciated customers’ cooperation.

For further assistance, customers can contact Customer Care via email or phone. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) also issued a notice regarding the Lidl recall, emphasizing the potential health risk associated with the product for individuals with milk allergies or intolerances.

Allergy alerts are issued when a food product poses a risk due to allergens, leading to its removal or recall from the market to ensure consumer safety. The FSA explained that products may be withdrawn or recalled if there are concerns about allergen information accuracy or other allergy risks.
