Apple has introduced new additions to its MacBook and iPad series shortly after the release of the iPhone 17. On October 22, the tech giant launched the MacBook Pro M5 and iPad Pro M5. These devices feature Apple’s latest M5 chip, providing enhanced speed and power, as well as significant improvements in AI performance. Both products are now available for purchase from Apple and Amazon.
The MacBook Pro M5 512GB is priced at £1,599, while the 11” iPad Pro 256GB and 13” iPad Pro 256GB are priced at £999 and £1,299, respectively. Apple’s Pro range includes some of its most advanced and premium offerings, prompting many consumers to explore monthly deals from providers like Sky Mobile and O2 to manage costs more effectively. Prices for these plans can start as low as 90p per day.
Sky offers competitive prices starting at £27 for the 11” iPad Pro M5 and going up to £34 for the 13” iPad Pro M5. These prices include a modest 100MB data allowance. Additionally, Sky’s £35 plan for the MacBook Pro M5, which includes a £7 upfront cost, is ideal for users primarily relying on WiFi connectivity. Customers can opt for Sky eSIM upgrades ranging from 1GB for £5 to unlimited for £27, with the 50GB for £10 plan being a popular intermediate choice.
It’s important to note that most providers incrementally raise prices each year in line with inflation, impacting the overall cost of contracts. EE offers competitive pricing for their iPad Pro plans, with the 11” iPad Pro M5 available for £89.92 on a 12-month plan plus £120 upfront. EE provides flexibility in payment durations, ranging from three to 48 months, with the 13” iPad Pro M5 priced at £112.42 plus £120 upfront on a 12-month plan.
O2 offers pre-built plans for both iPad Pro M5 models, starting from £39.20 per month plus £20 upfront for the 11” iPad Pro M5 on a 1GB Classic Plan. Heavier users can opt for the 100GB Plus Plan for £51.20 per month plus £20 upfront. The larger 13” iPad Pro M5 is available at £45.60 per month and £20 upfront on the 1GB Classic Plan, with the 100GB Plus Plan priced at £57.60 plus £20 upfront. These plans also include an O2 Extra, such as Disney+ or Amazon Prime, free for up to six months.
Each 48-month contract consists of an airtime plan for data allowance and a device plan, which can be separated after 24 months. Customers have the flexibility to maintain both plans as is, cancel, or modify the airtime plan after 24 months, potentially leading to cost savings for those not requiring mobile data.
