Co-op is gearing up to unveil 11 new stores this week, expanding its reach across various locations from Bristol to the Scottish Highlands. Of note, Co-op is proudly becoming the inaugural permanent retailer at London’s newest Brent Cross Town development.

These new store openings encompass a mix of fresh outlets, franchise-operated stores, and redesigned establishments. This initiative forms part of the retailer’s ongoing investment plan to revamp over 200 stores by 2024/25.

The recent store list is part of the 50-store expansion announcement made by Co-op for this November and December, just in time for the festive season. The company is advocating for business-rates reform in the upcoming Budget session this week.

Kate McCrae, Co-op’s Operations Director, emphasized the brand’s commitment to establishing local stores that serve as community hubs, catering to the needs of residents conveniently. McCrae highlighted Co-op’s belief in the future of the high street, emphasizing job creation and support for British farmers and suppliers.

In a bid to enhance customer benefits, Co-op has introduced 200 new personalized offers, increased discounts, member-exclusive games, and special deals within its membership program. Shoppers stand to save over £90 across October, November, and December, with monthly prize draws rewarding members for their in-store and online spending.

Rachel Halter, Co-op’s Director of Membership, underscored the brand’s dedication to providing added value to its members daily. By expanding personalized offers, discounts, and access to popular features, Co-op aims to ensure that members enjoy substantial savings on their preferred products, reinforcing the company’s commitment to rewarding loyalty.
