Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri have spoken out following their disqualification from the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Norris finished second behind Max Verstappen, while Piastri finished fourth, but both were disqualified due to post-race technical issues.

The FIA confirmed that excessive skid-block wear was the reason for disqualification, affecting the championship standings with just two rounds remaining. Norris now leads Piastri and Verstappen by 24 points before the upcoming Qatar race and the season finale in Abu Dhabi.

Norris expressed his disappointment, acknowledging car issues that led to disqualification, while Piastri also expressed frustration over the outcome. McLaren issued an apology to both drivers for the unintentional breach of Technical Regulations, citing unexpected car behavior during the race.

FIA scrutineers found that the planks beneath the McLaren cars were below the required minimum thickness of 9mm at the end of the race, resulting in an illegal ride height and disqualification from the final classification.
