Samsung recently unveiled a trio of new Galaxy S26 smartphones, with the standout feature being the Privacy Display on the S26 Ultra. This innovative feature ensures privacy by making content disappear when not viewed directly. The Privacy Display can be customized to block out specific apps or notifications, offering a new level of privacy protection on a phone.
According to Samsung, the Galaxy S26 Ultra introduces the industry’s first built-in Privacy Display, achieved through advanced display technology that enhances user privacy while maintaining screen clarity and brightness. In addition to the Privacy Display, the Ultra model boasts a thinner design, extended battery life, and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform, enabling rapid charging capabilities.
The Ultra also features an updated quad rear camera for improved low-light photography and enhanced video stabilization with Super Steady technology. Like its predecessors, the Ultra comes equipped with an S Pen for note-taking directly on the 6.9-inch AMOLED screen.
Accompanying the Ultra are the standard S26 with a 6.3-inch screen and the larger 6.7-inch Plus version, both powered by Samsung’s Exynos chip and featuring triple-lens rear cameras. Samsung has enhanced the smart features of all new models with a Galaxy AI upgrade, introducing features like Now Nudge that provides relevant suggestions to users without distractions.
While these updates offer improved functionality, Samsung has adjusted its pricing for the new Galaxy S26 range in the UK, with the S26 priced at £879 for 256GB and £1,049 for 512GB, the S26 Plus at £1,099 for 256GB and £1,269 for 512GB, and the S26 Ultra at £1,279 for 256GB, £1,449 for 512GB, and £1,699 for 1TB with 16GB RAM. These models are set to hit stores next month.
