A content creator passed away while partaking in a live challenge that involved the consumption of cocaine and alcohol for a restricted group of subscribers who paid for access.

The lifeless body of Sergio Jimenez Ramos was discovered in a kneeling position in his bedroom. His body was found stiff, with his head resting on the mattress and one hand holding his mobile phone. In the room, his mother and brother found an “almost empty bottle of whisky, two energy drink cans, and a pile of cocaine on a red tray.”

According to reports, individuals watching the livestream on webcam were heard asking, “Are you crashing yet, Sergio? You still haven’t finished the bottle of whisky?”

Emergency services responded to the family home in Vilanova i la Geltrú, near Barcelona, where the 37-year-old Sergio was pronounced dead in the early hours of December 31.

Investigators suspect that Sergio passed away during a private video session viewed by subscribers who paid to witness him consume a bottle of whisky and six grams of cocaine within a three-hour span, as per the Daily Star.

Sergio had been banned from popular streaming platforms like Kick, DLive, and Pump in the past for violating drug consumption policies.

In October, he began appearing in live broadcasts and private video sessions organized by fellow streamer Simón Pérez Golarons, known online for extreme “cyber-begging” activities.

Regarding Sergio’s final night, Simón mentioned, “I was informed that he consumed six grams in three hours – and a two-gram line.”

Simón has disclaimed any responsibility for Sergio’s tragic demise, stating, “I cautioned him multiple times that two grams would be an overdose – it’s medically recognized.

“I advised him against streaming, to exit Telegram, that it was harmful, and that it would end badly for him. I am not at fault.”

Sergio had been undergoing psychiatric therapy and had a history marked by substance abuse. His mourning family is seeking justice.

Authorities are working to trace donations made to Sergio’s account and identify those involved.

His friends Jess and Vicente Paos expressed their anger to local media: “They are individuals who exploit others. They funded the cocaine and whisky to induce his self-destruction.”
