Apple has unveiled a major software update designed to boost creativity among users. The tech giant from the United States has introduced a new platform named Creative Studio, providing MacBook and iPad owners access to premium software at a significantly reduced monthly cost.
This service grants users full access to professional applications like Final Cut Pro for video editing, Logic Pro for music creation, and Pixelmator Pro as an alternative to Adobe Photoshop.
Upon its launch later this month, Apple customers will be charged £12.99 per month or £129 per year for the subscription, offering great value considering the range of software included.
For instance, Final Cut Pro alone costs £300 on the App Store, while Logic Pro is priced at £200.
By offering these tools on a subscription basis, Apple’s goal is to make them more accessible to a wider audience.
Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, stated, “Apple Creator Studio is a great value that enables creators of all types to pursue their craft and grow their skills by providing easy access to the most powerful and intuitive tools for video editing, music making, creative imaging, and visual productivity.”
Creative Studio also features additional perks such as MainStage, which transforms a Mac into an instrument or voice processor, and Motion, a graphics tool for creating cinematic effects.
Subscribers will also benefit from intelligent features and premium content enhancements to Keynote, Pages, and Numbers apps for iPhone, iPad, and Mac later this year.
While Keynote, Pages, and Numbers will remain free, they will receive upgrades for Creative Studio subscribers, making the software even more valuable.
Apple Creator Studio will be accessible on the App Store starting Wednesday, January 28, with a one-month free trial for all users and a three-month trial for those purchasing a MacBook or iPad.
Moreover, Apple has introduced discounted pricing for university students, offering this software bundle for just £2.99 per month or £29.99 annually to support education savings.
