Apple has rolled out a crucial update for new iPhone users to address a wireless charging issue. The bug has been restricting some devices from wirelessly charging, forcing users to rely on MagSafe for battery top-ups.
Although Apple mentioned that only a small number of individuals have experienced this problem, it is advised for all users to ensure their devices are updated.
The affected devices include the iPhone 17 series, comprising the Pro and Pro Max models, as well as the iPhone Air.
To resolve the charging issue, users can easily update their devices by accessing Settings, tapping on General, and selecting Software Update. The update, labeled iOS 26.5.1, can be installed immediately by tapping on “Update Now” or scheduled for nighttime installation.
It is crucial to have a Wi-Fi connection or unlimited mobile data as the update file size is substantial at 13.6GB.
