In London leading up to the holiday season, Apple’s iPad is showcasing 24 festive designs on Battersea Power Station’s iconic towers. These colorful artworks were selected from numerous submissions in Apple’s “Your Tree on Battersea” competition, filling the towering chimneys above the River Thames after sunset.

Varsha Simha, from Canterbury, expressed her excitement at being chosen in the competition, drawing inspiration from Christmas market sights like sweaters and stockings. Meanwhile, 7-year-old Miah D.B, the youngest winner, shared joy in creating her tree design on an iPad, drawing inspiration from emotions.

Notable personalities such as Kylie Minogue, Sir Stephen Fry, and others have also contributed drawings to this initiative. This competition continues Apple’s tradition of fostering festive creativity and marks the first time the public has been invited to participate.

Previously, in 2023, artist David Hockney created Bigger Christmas Trees using an iPad Pro, and last year, Aardman utilized an iPhone 16 Pro Max for a short animation.

Chawawa, reflecting on the significance of hosting Apple’s inaugural iPad Christmas tree competition, emphasized the special connection of engaging the nation in creating Christmas trees on iPads and illuminating them across London.

The festive images will brighten Battersea until Christmas Eve, spreading holiday cheer throughout the city.
