Apple’s MacBook, iPad, and iPhone products have long been Apple’s flagship offerings, but the company’s services sector is also experiencing a surge in popularity. Recently, Apple reported a record-breaking year, as users increasingly gravitate towards its audio, TV streaming, and news services.

In 2025, Apple Music, now accessible on both iOS and Android platforms, witnessed its most successful year to date, setting new records for listenership and subscriber growth. The service introduced several updates, including Lyrics Translation and AutoMix, providing users with a personalized DJ experience on-the-go.

Moreover, Apple TV’s user engagement saw a significant spike, with December metrics indicating a 36% increase in viewing time for shows like Slow Horses and The Studio compared to the previous year. The platform expanded its content library with new shows and movies, such as the Brad Pitt-starring F1 film and the highly-rated drama Pluribus.

The App Store also experienced a robust year, boasting over 850 million average weekly users globally. During the holiday season spanning Christmas Eve to New Year’s Day, the marketplace saw a surge in visitors, resulting in record customer spending on digital goods and services.

Apple Podcasts also saw a surge in popularity, achieving record listenership, plays, and subscriptions throughout the year. Additionally, Apple expanded its services portfolio with enhancements to Apple Fitness+ and Apple Arcade, introducing more workout options and game titles to cater to diverse user preferences.

Furthermore, Apple extended its Share Item Location feature in Find My to 27 additional airlines, enabling secure sharing of an AirTag’s or Find My network accessory’s location with airline customer service, significantly reducing lost luggage instances.

Apple Maps broadened its Detailed City Experience to new locations like New Orleans, Singapore, and Monaco, featuring 3D landmarks such as a custom F1 Monaco Grand Prix experience.

Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Services, remarked, “2025 demonstrated remarkable growth, global expansion, and ongoing innovation for Apple services. From Apple TV to Apple Music and Apple News, we provided enriching experiences worldwide, reflecting our commitment to enhancing users’ daily lives and fostering engagement, particularly during the holiday season.”

The continued enthusiasm of Apple’s customers, whether through app downloads, show streaming, music listening, or secure shopping experiences, underscores the success and impact of Apple’s services in 2025.
