Carey Price, the long-time goalie for the Montreal Canadiens, is set to be honored at the Bell Centre for his induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame. The celebration will take place on November 10, following his official induction on November 9.
Price will join an elite group as the 62nd member of the organization to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Additionally, he will be recognized by being added to the Bell Centre’s Ring of Honour, a special tribute reserved for former players who have achieved great success in hockey.
Having spent his entire 15-year career with the Canadiens, Price has established himself as a franchise legend. Over 712 games, he maintained an impressive 2.51 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage. He holds the team records for most games played and most wins as a goaltender.
The ceremony to honor Price will take place during a game against the Minnesota Wild. Price, a seven-time all-star and the fifth overall pick in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, has left a lasting impact on the Canadiens organization.
The Montreal Canadiens will begin their pre-season on September 19, with the regular season commencing on September 29 in a match against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
