Misfits heavyweight champion Chase DeMoor has exposed that his opponent, Andrew Tate, demanded a weight stipulation prior to their upcoming clash. Tate, aged 39, is preparing for his professional boxing debut on December 20 against DeMoor, a renowned actor-turned-boxer who currently holds the heavyweight title.

After contemplating a potential comeback, Tate opted to transition to boxing under the Misfits banner instead of returning to kickboxing. DeMoor, the reigning heavyweight champion, is expected to present a formidable challenge to Tate. The tension between the two fighters escalated during a heated press conference in Dubai, where they engaged in verbal exchanges.

DeMoor faced a brief delay as Tate initially failed to appear but eventually arrived dramatically on a boat with his entourage. The champion then publicly criticized Tate for imposing a 40lb weight clause in their contracts without his consent, leading to a confrontational exchange between the two fighters.

Meanwhile, the official weight limits for the Tate-DeMoor fight remain undisclosed, following the precedent set by the upcoming bout between Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua. Joshua, a former heavyweight champion, has been mandated to weigh no more than 245lb for his fight against Paul, who is moving up from cruiserweight to heavyweight.

Tate, primarily a light-heavyweight in kickboxing, appears to have emulated Paul’s weight strategy, much to DeMoor’s dismay. Despite the tension, both fighters are intensively preparing for the bout, with Tate emphasizing his serious approach to boxing. DeMoor, on the other hand, continues to criticize Tate, accusing him of fear and lack of sportsmanship.

The highly anticipated Tate-DeMoor showdown is scheduled for December 20 at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium. Fans can watch the event live on Rumble Premium, with a monthly subscription priced at £7.48 ($9.99). The fight’s exact timings are yet to be confirmed, but the main card is expected to commence around 6pm UK time.
