Cove UK, the parent company overseeing several holiday parks in the UK, has gone into administration. This development impacts a total of 11 sites, including eight managed by Argyll Holidays, which was acquired by Cove UK for £100 million in 2022. Other affected holiday parks consist of Solway Holiday Park, Gwel an Mor Resort, and Springwood Holiday Park. Administrators are currently exploring options for selling the business and have informed owners through letters.

For individuals with upcoming bookings at these resorts, administrators advise reaching out to the site manager. The list of affected resorts includes:

– Argyll Holidays
– Solway Holiday Park
– Gwel an Mor Resort
– Springwood Holiday Park

Seal Bay Resort in West Sussex remains unaffected and is operating as usual. Alvarez & Marsal Europe has been appointed to manage the administration process for Cove Communities Holiday Park UK Holdco Limited (HPUK) and its subsidiaries: Cove Communities Venture 2 Gwel an Mor OpCo Ltd, Cove Communities Venture 2 Solway OpCo Ltd, Cove Communities Venture 2 Springwood OpCo Ltd, and Cove Communities Venture 2 Argyle OpCo Ltd.

The administrators, Alvarez & Marsal Europe, stated, “Our main focus as administrators is to ensure a seamless transition and maintain stability within the parks. We are committed to ensuring that day-to-day operations run smoothly with minimal disruptions. Owners, residents, and holidaymakers should not experience any impact and can direct any inquiries to the site managers.”

A spokesperson for Cove UK mentioned, “We confirm that administrators have been appointed to Cove Communities Holiday Park HoldCo Limited and its subsidiaries, affecting several holiday parks across the UK. However, Seal Bay, our primary resort under the Cove UK umbrella, is not part of the administration process and is operating normally for our guests and owners. Our primary goal remains to serve our customers and implement our long-term strategy. We are grateful for the ongoing support from our employees, owners, and customers.”
