A new channel has recently launched on Freeview, bringing additional entertainment options to viewers. TLC, previously accessible only through premium TV services like Sky and Virgin Media, is now available for Freeview users. Known for popular reality shows such as Dr Pimple Popper and Say Yes To The Dress, TLC has expanded its lineup to include sitcoms and blockbuster films.

Freeview subscribers will now have access to a variety of shows like The Big Bang Theory, Mock the Week, and Young Sheldon, along with blockbuster movies such as Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. To access TLC on channel 12, some viewers may need to perform a retune on their TV sets.

In addition to the new channel, Freeview’s update includes a minor reshuffling of channels. Quest will move from Channel 12 to Channel 17 to accommodate TLC, while Really will shift from Channel 17 to Channel 44. However, not all news is positive, as Freeview has confirmed the closure of HGTV, resulting in the removal of programs like My Lottery Dream Home, Celebrity IOU, and Building Alaska from the platform, along with HGTV, God TV, and India Today.

The changes include the addition of TLC on Channel 12 and TLC+1 on Channel 99, channel moves for Quest to Channel 17 and Really to Channel 44, and the closure of HGTV, God TV, and India Today. Viewers are advised to retune their devices to access the new channel lineup.
