A male infant is currently hospitalized fighting for his life following the discovery of his critical condition, leading to the apprehension of a 25-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man by law enforcement.

The young child was swiftly brought to the hospital after emergency responders responded to the scene in Cambridgeshire on Saturday and found him in a state described as “life-threatening.”

Medical personnel on-site provided immediate care to the infant before transferring him to the hospital. Ambulance services raised the alarm at 11 a.m. on January 3, prompting police to swiftly head to the location at St John’s Chase in March.

Authorities detained the man and woman on suspicion of causing serious bodily harm (GBH) and possessing Class B/C substances.

A representative from Cambridgeshire Police disclosed, “We received a call from the ambulance service around 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, at St John’s Chase, March, where medical professionals were attending to a baby boy in a severe, life-threatening condition.”

The spokesperson further stated, “The infant was transported to the hospital and is currently in critical condition. A 25-year-old female and a 22-year-old male, both residents of March, have been taken into custody on suspicion of causing serious bodily harm (GBH) and possessing Class B/C substances.”
