Iran has made a plea to other Middle Eastern nations to intervene and prevent potential US strikes that could aim to overthrow its government. Reports from Tehran suggest that opposition killings are ongoing, while US President Donald Trump is increasing pressure on Iran. Speculation surrounds the USS Abraham Lincoln being hidden underground in bunkers beneath Tehran and potentially seeking assistance from Moscow in case of an attack.

The USS Abraham Lincoln and its accompanying guided missile destroyers are stationed off the coast of Oman, awaiting further orders. Saudi Arabia and the UAE have declared that they will not allow their airspace to be used for any attack on Iran, despite their negative view of the Iranian regime and past drone attacks targeting their territories.

However, if necessary, they might reconsider this stance to support the US and Israel in defending their Middle East bases from potential Iranian retaliation. The current situation presents an opportune moment for American and Israeli strategists to act against the Iranian government.

While there are internal divisions within the US administration regarding military action, with some advocating for regime change and others favoring diplomatic solutions, the region remains tense as Iran could respond aggressively to any provocation. The unpredictability of the outcome of strikes and the readiness of replacement leadership in Iran add complexity to the situation.

Any potential strikes would need to be carefully planned to minimize civilian casualties and facilitate a change in regime. Diplomatic efforts and increased pressure on Tehran may continue as the US navigates its next steps. The Iranian opposition, facing harsh repression, may be conflicted about the prospect of US intervention.
