Nicola Golen netted a goal in the second minute of extra time, securing a 2-2 tie for Ottawa Rapid against AFC Toronto on Sunday at TD Place. This crucial goal by Golen in the 92nd minute enabled the league-leading Rapid to secure an additional point in their standings. Melanie Forbes also contributed to Ottawa’s (10-2-3) score with a goal in the 13th minute.

On the other hand, Sarah Stratigakis and Shelina Zadorsky scored for third-place Toronto (7-4-4). The match saw both teams reduced to 10 players in the 63rd minute following red cards shown to Choo Hyojoo of the Rapid and Cloey Uddenberg of AFC Toronto.

Earlier on the same day, TD Place in Ottawa was revealed as the chosen venue for the upcoming Northern Super League final scheduled for November 14th.
