The future of Freeview is facing uncertainty as more households are transitioning to streaming services, potentially leading to a decline in traditional aerial usage in the coming years. Adding to the challenges, a competing product has reemerged, expanding the array of available content options.
The Manhattan Aero 4K TV Streamer, which operates through the Freely platform, offers viewers the convenience of live online content streaming instead of relying on traditional broadcast signals. This user-friendly device quickly gained popularity and sold out shortly after its initial release earlier this year. Despite initial supply shortages, Manhattan has now replenished stock to meet the high demand for the Aero 4K TV Streamer.
In a significant development, the Aero now includes access to HBO Max, enriching its entertainment offerings with a wide range of content from HBO, Max Originals, Warner Bros., DC, and more, all accessible through a single app. Popular TV series like The Last of Us, House of the Dragon, Succession, and The White Lotus, along with movie franchises such as Harry Potter and Batman, are now available for viewers.
While HBO Max access requires a separate subscription starting at £4.99 per month, the Aero still provides a wealth of free content through Freely, including over 50 live TV channels, on-demand shows, voice search, personalized recommendations, a comprehensive TV guide, and the ability to pause live television.
Manhattan’s COO, Alex Arbab-Zadeh, expressed confidence in meeting the high demand for the Aero and highlighted the value added by HBO Max’s premium content and sports access. Additionally, more app additions are expected later this year to enhance the Aero’s entertainment offerings.
The Manhattan Aero 4K TV Streamer with Freely is currently available for purchase at £89.99 from various retailers, including Currys, Argos, and John Lewis.
