During the conversation with Harper’s Bazaar, Meghan expressed admiration for her husband, Prince Harry, highlighting his “childlike wonder and playfulness.” She also shared her joy in transitioning from making jam in her kitchen to establishing her lifestyle brand, As Ever, with her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, by her side.
One particular incident from the interview that drew ridicule towards Meghan was when the journalist recounted being introduced to her as ‘Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex’ by the house manager during a visit to her friend’s house in New York, even though no one else was present.
Criticism has been directed at Meghan for retaining her royal title despite her and Harry’s decision to step back from their royal duties five years ago. Royal expert Jennie Bond found the introduction “absurd” but suggested that it might not have been Meghan’s doing.
Bond explained that the formality of the introduction could have been a result of the house staff being overly enthusiastic about having a Duchess in the house, given the tendency of Americans to place significance on titles.
Recently, Meghan and Harry were spotted celebrating Thanksgiving in the US with their children. The couple surprised many by taking their son and daughter to a charitable kitchen in Los Angeles, where they helped prepare meals for those in need before the Thanksgiving holiday.
