Marc-André Porlier faces charges of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, as stated in an RCMP press release. The threats were reportedly communicated via email to various recipients, including a senator, as stated by law enforcement officials. The accused also allegedly made threats towards “all Canadian police officers,” according to the legal documents.
Previously convicted of arson and mischief for setting fire to a church in Toronto in 2017, Porlier was under probation for these offenses, confirmed by the police to CBC News. The individual appeared in court on Saturday, as mentioned in the press release, with the charges yet to be proven in court.
