Months prior to the tragic deaths of Monique Tepe and Spencer Tepe in their residence, an unidentified woman made a perplexing call to emergency services. The couple was found deceased on December 30, with Spencer having multiple gunshot wounds and Monique shot at least once in the chest.

The alarm was raised when Spencer, a dentist, did not show up for work, prompting concerned colleagues to visit their home where they discovered the distress of the couple’s two young children. A chilling phone call received at the Tepe residence months earlier has left authorities puzzled.

In the early hours of April 15, a 911 operator received a call reporting a “domestic dispute” from the Tepe’s residence in Columbus, Ohio. The caller hung up during the conversation, claiming she was fine when contacted back by the operator.

The woman clarified that the dispute did not turn physical and denied any physical altercations had occurred. Monique’s brother-in-law expressed doubts that the call was made by her, stating it did not resemble her voice. The call was categorized as a “domestic dispute” by emergency dispatch.

Investigations have ruled out murder-suicide, forced entry, or the presence of a weapon at the scene. Authorities have identified a person of interest from surveillance footage near the property. The Tepe couple, married in 2021, were close to their fifth wedding anniversary, described as loving and joyful individuals by family members.

A murder investigation is ongoing, awaiting coroner’s reports for further details.
