A tragic incident unfolded as a six-year-old girl succumbed to her injuries after reportedly being gang-raped and thrown from a rooftop, as disclosed by authorities on Friday. The young victim was swiftly taken to a nearby medical facility following the heinous assault but, regrettably, she was declared deceased upon arrival. The dreadful event transpired in the Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh, India.
Law enforcement confirmed the apprehension of two individuals, identified as Raju and Veeru, after a brief exchange of gunfire in the Sikandrabad industrial area. Both suspects sustained gunshot wounds to their legs during the encounter with the police and were subsequently hospitalized for treatment. Additionally, officers uncovered two firearms and ammunition at the site.
Following the victim’s father filing a formal complaint, the police mobilized three specialized teams to track down the culprits. Superintendent of Police Dr. Tejveer Singh mentioned that the accused individuals opened fire when law enforcement attempted to intercept them.
Singh informed the media, “During preliminary questioning, the suspects confessed to their participation.” The young girl, who lived in the same building as the suspects, was allegedly assaulted while playing on the terrace, according to reports by the Mirror US.
The family alleges that she was sexually assaulted before being thrown off the roof. An autopsy has been requested to substantiate the rape allegations.
Authorities have stated that additional charges will be pressed once the medical findings are available. The incident has sparked outrage in the area, shedding light on the persistent concerns regarding crimes against women and children in India.
In a separate event, an 18-year-old individual from Pennsylvania was arrested for allegedly shooting both of his parents, resulting in the death of his mother the day after Christmas. Jarrod Noll was apprehended in West Virginia after an extensive search by Pennsylvania law enforcement. The teenager was found in possession of a weapon at the time of his arrest. The incident unfolded on December 26 at around 1:58 pm local time.
Police disclosed that Noll’s younger siblings were present inside the residence during the shooting; however, as the incident occurred outdoors, they remained unharmed. The siblings, whose identities have been withheld, are now under the care of another family member.
Noll is currently held in police custody in West Virginia awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania, where he faces charges of homicide and attempted homicide.
