A trainer overseeing just two horses achieved a significant victory with his jockey brother as Oscars Brother triumphed in the Boodles Florida Pearl Novice Chase at Punchestown. The competition featured horses from renowned stables like Gordon Elliott, Henry de Bromhead, and Rocky’s Diamond, who placed fourth in the 2025 Stayers’ Hurdle.
Despite the strong lineup, Connor King, the handler, outperformed his competitors with Oscars Brother, expertly guided by his brother Daniel around the County Kildare track. Maintaining a front-running position, Oscars Brother, the 7-4 favorite, showcased impeccable jumping skills and finished three lengths ahead of Koktail Divin from De Bromhead’s yard.
Prior to the three-mile race on soft to heavy ground at Galway, Oscars Brother had prepared diligently. The duo now anticipates the possibility of having a Grade One caliber horse in their stable, which currently houses only one other racehorse in training.
