Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has reportedly made multiple requests to Donald Trump for a pardon regarding his prison sentence. However, the 79-year-old US President has labeled the disgraced rapper as “very hostile” and signaled his refusal to grant the pardon. The once-close friends saw their relationship deteriorate when Trump first entered the presidential race in 2016.

Following Combs’ conviction on prostitution-related charges, the music industry icon, also known as P Diddy, received a 50-month jail sentence in October. Seeking assistance from his former associate, Combs has sought Trump’s pardon, but the President has made it clear that he will not entertain the plea.

In a recent statement, Trump mentioned the strained nature of his past interactions with Combs, citing negative comments made by the rapper during the 2016 election campaign. Despite their history of cordiality, Trump emphasized his reluctance to reconsider the situation.

Historical photographs capture moments of camaraderie between P Diddy and Trump during the late 1990s, highlighting their past friendship. Reports suggest that Combs reached out to Trump through a letter requesting clemency, just a few months into his prison term.

When pressed for further details on the pardon request, Trump responded with ambiguity, hinting at a letter exchange without providing concrete evidence. Previous remarks made by the President in a May 2021 interview paint a bleak picture for the 56-year-old music mogul, who faced charges related to prostitution but was acquitted of more serious allegations such as racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.
