Sky customers in the UK are in for a treat with the introduction of HBO Max as part of their subscription. Subscribers with the Sky Ultimate TV package can now access HBO Max for free, enjoying popular titles like Game of Thrones, Friends, Dune, and more, saving over £50 compared to the usual monthly fee. This new streaming service offers a vast collection of HBO dramas and Warner Bros. films, including both classics and new Max Originals.

Sky confirmed that customers with Sky Ultimate TV on Sky Glass or Sky Stream, as well as Sky Q customers with the appropriate package, will receive HBO Max Basic with Ads as part of their subscription. To start watching, users can simply launch the HBO Max app from their device’s homepage and follow the on-screen instructions to activate it for on-demand streaming.

For those not already on the Sky Ultimate TV plan, they can switch to it for £22 per month (increasing to £24 from April 1st), which includes over 130 Sky channels, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and the upcoming Hayu service. Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, emphasized the integration of Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu into a single subscription, offering a unique entertainment experience.

NOW Entertainment customers will also have access to HBO Max at no extra cost through the NOW app. For non-Sky subscribers, signing up for HBO Max directly on the website is an option, with Standard with Ads plans starting at £5.99.
