A mother is recounting the tragic and distressing scene she encountered upon returning home from work where she found her two-year-old son fatally attacked by dogs. The incident, which occurred in the backyard of Stacy Wheeler Cobb, resulted in the death of Kaimir Jones on a Saturday afternoon.

Adrianna Jones, the mother of the victim, shared that her intuition led her to leave work early and check on her son after not hearing from his caregiver for an extended period. She described the heartbreaking and traumatic sight of discovering her child in such a state.

The caregiver, who was operating an unlicensed daycare in Georgia, has been arrested following the incident. It was revealed that the child, under her supervision, was killed by her rottweilers while she was asleep. Despite being highly recommended, the caregiver failed to prevent the toddler from accessing the dogs’ kennel.

Authorities disclosed that the child was the sole individual under the caregiver’s watch that day, although her daycare facility was known to accommodate up to 10 children. The caregiver claimed she believed the child was safe while she took a nap, leading to the tragic outcome.

VPD Chief Leslie Manahan expressed condolences to the family, condemning the negligence that led to the child’s death. The caregiver faces charges of second-degree murder and cruelty to children, with the dogs involved in the incident being placed under animal control.

Experts emphasize the importance of supervising children around unfamiliar dogs and preventing them from approaching unknown animals to avoid such tragic events.
