Just in time for the festive TV marathon this Christmas, Virgin Media TV users are in for a treat with the introduction of two new free channels. The telecoms company has unveiled the launch of FAST channels – Stingray Classica (Ch296) and Stingray DJAZZ (Ch297), offering a wide range of musical content such as premieres, concerts, films, and artist interviews. These channels run 24/7, ensuring entertainment for viewers at any time of the day.

Interested in what’s on offer? Here’s a sneak peek at what you can enjoy at no additional cost.

Stingray Classica (Ch296): Catering to classical music, opera, and ballet enthusiasts, this channel promises something for everyone, whether you’re a seasoned connoisseur or new to the genre. With 50 annual world premieres from renowned concert halls and opera houses, along with top-notch documentaries and exclusive classical music programming, viewers are in for a treat.

Stingray DJAZZ (Ch297): Jazz aficionados can indulge in concerts, films, profiles, and documentaries from various venues and festivals. The channel also features artist interviews, backstage reports, and engaging content for jazz enthusiasts.

These music-centric additions expand Virgin’s existing lineup of 32 FAST channels, including popular options like British Screen Classics, U&Transport, Inside Crime, and Haunt TV. All these channels are accessible through Virgin’s set-top boxes via the Electronic Programme Guide (EPG), enhancing the company’s FAST channel offerings.

David Bouchier, Chief TV and Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2, expressed excitement about the new channels, stating, “We are launching two brand new FAST channels to give our customers even more of the best entertainment Virgin TV has to offer. We’re always looking to offer our customers handpicked channels to broaden our offering which is why we’ve added two more to the mix. From classical music to jazz concerts and artist interviews, the new channels offer something for all music fans to enjoy!”
