Apple has introduced AppleCare One in the UK for customers owning multiple Apple devices. This new subscription service, initially launched in the US, simplifies and potentially reduces costs for safeguarding multiple gadgets under a single plan.
For £16.99 per month, AppleCare One provides coverage for up to three eligible devices, such as iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches. In case of accidental damage, loss, or theft, Apple will repair the device or offer up to three replacements annually, depending on the claim type.
AppleCare One enhances the existing AppleCare+ by allowing customers to protect multiple products under one subscription rather than individual plans. This consolidation could result in substantial savings, with Apple indicating potential monthly savings of up to £11.48 for those covering an iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch under this new plan.
One notable advantage of AppleCare One is the flexibility to add eligible devices up to four years old to the plan, as long as they are in good condition. This extended coverage surpasses the typical 60-day timeframe for purchasing AppleCare+ after acquiring a device.
According to Apple, the transition is seamless when upgrading devices. If a covered device is traded in for a new one directly from Apple, the old product is automatically removed, and the new device is seamlessly added to the existing subscription.
Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, highlighted the customer-centric approach of AppleCare One, emphasizing its simplicity and flexibility. Customers in the UK can now benefit from AppleCare+ protection with the ease of one plan, one price, and comprehensive coverage for all eligible products.
By prioritizing exceptional experiences, Apple aims to provide peace of mind to its customers through the streamlined and versatile AppleCare One service.
