A traditional wife, Janea Robinson, is proud to defy contemporary norms by choosing to be a homemaker while her husband takes on the role of the breadwinner. Janea, 26, attributes her inclination towards this lifestyle to her upbringing, where she witnessed her parents follow a similar path.
Upon marrying two years ago, Janea embraced the role of a stay-at-home wife, depending on her husband, Austin, 23, to financially support their household. “I’ve always held strong religious beliefs, and according to my faith, women are naturally inclined towards nurturing and caring for the home, while men are meant to provide and protect,” Janea explained.
“After marriage, my husband and I shared the same vision for our roles, leading me to become a homemaker while he assumes the responsibility of working and providing for us. I take pride in decorating and creating a warm home environment, managing most household chores, while he takes care of external matters. It’s been a truly blissful experience.”
Janea is not alone in her advocacy for traditional wifehood – she expressed solidarity with another individual who shares similar values.
Planning to raise her future children in a non-conventional manner, Janea emphasized the importance of being present as a stay-at-home mother. “My husband and I look forward to investing our time and energy in our children’s upbringing, prioritizing family over institutional care,” she remarked.
Currently, Janea’s routine revolves around domestic chores, including cleaning, cooking, grocery shopping, tending to her Australian Shepherd mix, and maintaining a well-organized household.
Her daily activities range from baking bread and desserts to engaging in fitness, sauna sessions, and meditation. Janea shared, “My days are relaxed and flexible, allowing me to enjoy the freedom and manage my time efficiently. While I eagerly anticipate motherhood, I relish the opportunity to enrich my daily routine further.”
“I have chosen this lifestyle as I believe it aligns with my inherent strengths and preferences. I derive fulfillment from not being bound by a conventional job and routine, cherishing the quality time spent with my husband and maximizing our shared experiences,” Janea affirmed.
Regarding her future plans, Janea expressed no intention of pursuing employment. She emphasized, “For me, being a traditional wife signifies upholding traditional values and a marriage built on mutual service, as intended by divine guidance. This lifestyle nurtures our relationship with each other, with God, and will soon extend to our children.”
