Bargain expert Jordon Cox shared a valuable tip on how to uncover a “hidden clue” indicating when a discount at Tesco is nearing its end. Known as the Coupon King on ITV’s This Morning, Jordon regularly imparts money-saving advice on social platforms.
In a recent video, Jordon revealed that products under the Clubcard Price promotion feature a unique six-digit code that discloses the expiration date of the offer. By decoding this code, starting with the digits “25” in reverse order, shoppers can identify the expiry date: the last two digits represent the day, the middle two indicate the month, and the first two signify the year.
Tesco is reminding customers to redeem £16.5 million worth of expiring Clubcard vouchers before November 30. Clubcard points are earned for every pound spent on groceries in-store or online, every two liters of fuel purchased at Tesco petrol stations, every pound spent on Tesco Mobile, every four pounds spent on a Tesco credit card, and every pound spent using a Tesco Clubcard Pay+ debit card.
To qualify for a Clubcard voucher worth £1.50, customers need a minimum of 150 points. Currently, more than 24 million households in the UK are Tesco Clubcard members.
Tesco’s Group Membership and Loyalty Director, Shama Wilson, highlighted the importance of utilizing expiring vouchers, emphasizing the significant value they hold this quarter. The vouchers, if used for Tesco Tuesdays, could equate to 6.6 million cinema tickets at Cineworld or £49.5 million in reward codes at PizzaExpress.
