Several individuals sustained injuries when a truck crashed into a gathering of anti-Iran protesters in Los Angeles, causing chaos and panic. The incident involved a U-Haul truck driving through a crowd of demonstrators, prompting people to flee as the vehicle advanced. Witnesses reported that the driver targeted protesters holding Iranian flags and appeared to be trying to push through the assembly. The truck displayed a banner stating, “No Shah, No Regime. USA: Don’t Repeat 1953. No Mullah.”
The occurrence took place in broad daylight on Veteran Avenue in the Westwood district, where a large group had congregated to protest against Iran’s Islamic Republic. Eyewitness Susie Shoshana recorded the incident on her mobile phone, capturing the truck forcefully moving through the protest.
After the truck came to a stop, protesters surrounded it, some breaking the vehicle’s windows as tensions escalated. Additional footage showed police officers pulling the driver out of the truck while onlookers screamed nearby. As the suspect was being apprehended, some protesters attempted to assault him with punches and flagpoles, leading the police to intervene and disperse the crowd to restore order.
The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed that three individuals were injured by the truck during the incident.
