Nigel Farage has urged a Reform candidate to apologize for suggesting that David Lammy should “go home” to the Caribbean. The candidate, Dr. Chris Parry, has faced criticism for making controversial statements, including questioning the loyalty of politicians from minority backgrounds.

Farage, facing backlash for not taking action against Parry, acknowledged the candidate’s patriotism but emphasized the need for an apology regarding the comments made about Lammy. Parry’s remarks extended to questioning the loyalty of several other figures from minority ethnic backgrounds, including Shabana Mahmood, Sadiq Khan, Humza Yousaf, Zarah Sultana, and Anas Sarwar.

In a social media trawl, it was revealed that Parry had made comments suggesting doubts about the loyalty of these individuals to the UK based on their backgrounds. Labour chairwoman Anna Turley called for Parry to be expelled from the party, criticizing Farage’s tolerance of divisive rhetoric.

In a statement, Parry defended his remarks as light-hearted banter but stressed the importance of verifying asylum claims made on religious grounds. He dismissed criticism from the “woke lefties” and suggested they avoid social media if they cannot handle such discussions.
