Amazon has unveiled a new streaming device, the Fire TV Stick HD, offering advanced features that surpass current models. Priced at £39.99, this latest entry-level gadget is slimmer and more stylish than its predecessors, boasting a 30% reduction in width for enhanced portability and easy placement behind TVs. Notably, it can draw power directly from the TV’s USB port, eliminating the need for a separate adapter.

According to Amazon, the Fire TV Stick HD is designed to fit discreetly behind a TV and provides seamless access to popular streaming services like Disney+, Apple TV, Prime Video, iPlayer, ITVX, and Netflix. The device includes a user-friendly remote with Alexa voice search and quick app launch buttons.

While it delivers full HD viewing rather than 4K resolution, the Fire TV Stick HD promises significant speed enhancements compared to previous models. Amazon claims it is over 30% faster on average, enabling quicker start-up and app loading times. Additionally, it comes with the latest Fire operating system, offering an improved user experience with enhanced recommendations and a cleaner interface.

Scheduled for release on April 29th, the Fire TV Stick HD is set to revolutionize home entertainment with its blend of affordability, performance, and convenience.
