During the search for a missing 21-year-old last seen on New Year’s Day, a body has been discovered.

Taylor Stewart was last seen in the Church Heights area of Cookstown in Northern Ireland around 5.30 am on January 1.

On January 7, in the afternoon, a body was found in close proximity in an entry beside a block of houses on Church Street in the town.

The police have cordoned off the scene where the body was discovered and are actively investigating.

For a week now, efforts to locate the missing 21-year-old have been ongoing, with Community Rescue Service volunteers working alongside the PSNI day and night to search the surrounding area, as reported by Belfast Live.

The PSNI has been contacted by Mirror for a comment regarding the situation.
