Heartbroken families share stories of loved ones facing swift executions amidst Iran’s ongoing harsh crackdown on protesters.

Erfan Soltani, a 26-year-old clothing store owner, was apprehended at his residence for allegedly participating in anti-government protests. He is set to have just a ten-minute meeting with his family before his scheduled hanging on Wednesday.

Activists reported that between 2,000 and 3,000 individuals have lost their lives since the demonstrations commenced over two weeks ago. Iranians managed to make overseas calls on Tuesday after a period of restricted communications imposed by authorities.

Iranian state television has officially acknowledged the significant death toll, acknowledging numerous “martyrs.” The broadcast mentioned that “armed and terrorist groups” were responsible for the loss of many lives.

The United Kingdom announced plans for additional sanctions targeting Iran’s financial, energy, and transportation sectors following a meeting with the Iranian ambassador to discuss the country’s response to the protests.

President Donald Trump encouraged Iranians to persist in their protests, vowing consequences for those responsible for violence. He declared a halt to all meetings with Iranian officials until the killing of protesters ceases.

The protests, initially sparked by economic grievances, prompted a violent reaction from Iranian authorities. Despite communication restrictions, more images from the widespread protests are gradually reaching the international community.
