Some Sky customers have reported an annoying glitch affecting the popular ITVX app. Complaints started surfacing late last week, with users noting that their viewing experience is being disrupted by a bug that jumps to the end of programs unexpectedly. This issue causes some viewers to be abruptly taken to the credits of a show without any manual fast-forwarding.

Expressing their frustration on Sky’s forum page, a user named Dazzasky mentioned, “ITV Player randomly skips ahead, usually right to the end of the episode, and is making it quite difficult tbh… this has been happening for the last 4 or 5 days.” Another user named Dawn also shared her experience, saying, “Is anyone else having issues watching programs on ITVX for the last 3 days? I’m watching, then jumped to the end randomly, usually at the beginning of the program or after an ad break.”

The TV glitches seem to be affecting users with Sky’s online devices, such as Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs. Although it is unclear if Sky Q is impacted, most complaints are from users with broadband-powered devices rather than satellite dishes.

At present, the cause of the problems remains unknown. However, a Sky representative named Kev has acknowledged the issues and assured users that the company is actively working on a solution. Kev stated, “Thank you for making us aware of this problem and thanks for tagging us. We can understand how frustrating this must be and have escalated the problem to our support teams. They will collaborate with ITV to resolve the issue. I’ll provide updates as soon as more information is available.”

For now, users may have to endure the skipping issues until a fix is implemented. Mirror Online will continue to update this article with any new developments.
