A container containing a suspicious dark powder substance prompted the swift evacuation of a food court in a city in the UK. The incident at the Arndale food court unfolded on the evening of Wednesday, January 7, with both police and fire services responding to the scene.

The unsettling discovery led the food court staff to immediately clear the area, although authorities confirmed that there was no immediate threat. The Greater Manchester Police reassured the public by stating that no significant risk had been identified, and the evacuation was purely precautionary.

In a statement, the Greater Manchester Police mentioned the situation at the Arndale Centre, emphasizing the ongoing efforts to ensure safety and normalcy. Meanwhile, the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service reported that firefighters were called to investigate a suspicious package at the Arndale center. Following investigations, it was determined that there was no danger posed by the package.

Both police and fire services collaborated to handle the situation, ultimately confirming that the area was safe. The incident was resolved without any risks identified, and normal operations were expected to resume promptly.
