The Northern Super League team welcomed Chantelle Swaby and Kaela Hansen to their squad in preparation for a crucial upcoming match against the Halifax Tides. Swaby, who previously played for Leicester City in the Women’s Super League, brings valuable experience from various top leagues, including the National Women’s Soccer League and the Scottish Women’s Premier League. On the other hand, Hansen joins the Rise from NSL side AFC Toronto, eager to contribute as a center-back with her bold playing style.
Head coach Anja Heiner-Moller expressed optimism about the new signings, highlighting Swaby’s physical presence and confidence on the field, as well as Hansen’s enthusiasm for the game and adaptability to the team’s playing style.
