Starmer Urges Diplomacy in Greenland Dispute

Keir Starmer engaged in discussions with Donald Trump today...

A renowned heart specialist, Dr. Jonathan Reiner, who previously managed the medical care of ex-Vice President Dick Cheney, has called on Congress to examine President Donald Trump’s mental well-being. Dr. Reiner expressed concerns over public statements and communications from the president, deeming them worrisome.

This plea from Dr. Reiner followed President Trump’s recent message to European leaders discussing U.S. foreign policy objectives. In a letter to Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, Trump tied his failure to secure the Nobel Peace Prize to his interests in Greenland.

Trump stated, “Since your Country chose not to award me the Nobel Peace Prize for ending 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel obligated to focus solely on Peace but can consider what benefits the United States of America.” He emphasized the importance of Greenland for global security, asserting, “The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland.”

Reacting to this communication, Dr. Reiner highlighted it as a cause for concern, urging a bipartisan congressional inquiry into the president’s fitness for office. He also criticized Trump’s recent actions, including endorsing a primary challenger to Senator Bill Cassidy.

Dr. Reiner’s apprehensions about Trump’s health and ability to lead are longstanding. Earlier this year, he criticized Trump’s comments about his health practices, particularly regarding aspirin dosage. Despite Trump’s claims of good health, supported by his physician, Navy Capt. Sean Barbabella, Dr. Reiner maintains his reservations about Trump’s fitness to govern.
