A 45-year-old teacher, Allison Havemann-Niedrach, from New Jersey, has confessed to sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy, admitting to sending him approximately 25,000 text messages. Havemann-Niedrach pleaded guilty to a single charge of aggravated sexual assault, potentially facing a sentence of up to 12 years in prison.
The police investigation revealed that the teacher’s inappropriate relationship with the teenager began in January 2024 and continued until her arrest in June of the same year. Witnesses reported seeing Havemann-Niedrach having lunch with the student daily, with one witness observing her engaging in flirtatious behavior by rubbing the boy’s back and neck.
Furthermore, the student’s sister saw him in the teacher’s car before he disclosed the sexual relationship to his mother. Subsequent examination of the boy’s phone uncovered around 25,000 text messages between him and the teacher, including compromising photos and videos.
Prosecutors described Havemann-Niedrach as “obsessed” with the victim, with the student revealing to the police that their encounters took place at the teacher’s residence and various hotels. The sentencing is scheduled for May 7, 2026, with the prosecution seeking a 12-year prison term and the revocation of her teaching license.
The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office announced that Allison Havemann-Niedrach has pleaded guilty to charges of sexual assault against a teenage student. The criminal conduct began in January 2024 and lasted for approximately six months before her arrest in June 2024. The sentencing is set for May 7, 2026, with the state intending to pursue a 12-year prison term, forfeiture of public office, surrender of her teaching license, Parole Supervision for Life, and registration as a sex offender under Megan’s Law.
