A disturbing incident unfolded as a 12-year-old girl shot her father before taking her own life. Emma Brown fired a gun at her father, Daniel Brown, in Poolville, Texas, on September 20, 2022, causing him a stomach injury. Although her father survived, Emma tragically passed away two days later after shooting herself in the head.

A chilling photograph surfaced showing the duo posing with rifles and handguns on a table filled with ammunition. Following this eerie photo, the young girl executed her dark plan, which involved harming her entire family and pets.

The sinister scheme was devised by Emma and another 12-year-old girl from Lufkin, Texas, although their initial connection remains unclear. The pair had planned to flee to Georgia together. The Parker County District Attorney’s office revealed that the unidentified accomplice was charged with conspiracy to commit murder.

Law enforcement responded to a distress call reporting a shooting, discovering the 12-year-old girl with a gunshot wound to the head and her father with a gunshot wound to the abdomen inside their residence.

After shooting her father, Emma walked a short distance down her driveway before turning the gun on herself. Reports suggest she was preparing for bed on the tragic night.

An emergency responder on-site overheard that the daughter had shot her father. Subsequently, the family home installed a gate with a ‘No Trespassing’ sign at the entrance.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy, concluding that Emma Brown’s death was a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

A prior police statement confirmed Emma’s passing and her father’s recovery from the gunshot wound. The other 12-year-old girl from Lufkin, suspected of involvement in the plan, was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit murder.

Jessica Pebsworth, the Director for Lufkin, emphasized the importance of parents knowing their children’s friends, whether in-person or online on various platforms like social media, gaming, and messaging apps.
