EE has introduced new SIM plans designed to address a common issue faced by many customers – running out of data while on the go due to increased file downloads and streaming activities such as Netflix. The company’s latest pay-as-you-go SIM cards now come with a feature called “Data Parachute,” offering users a free 1GB data boost when they unexpectedly run out of data.

According to EE, the Data Parachute feature aims to help customers stay connected for essential tasks like communicating with friends or using navigation apps until they can top up their data. These new plans, starting at £10 per month, also offer perks like data rollover, which automatically carries over any unused data to the next month, and free data boosts to enhance customers’ allowances.

Additionally, EE pay-as-you-go customers can enjoy access to the 5G network, boasting improved performance and faster speeds. The pricing for the new plans is as follows:

– £10 for 20GB
– £15 for 75GB
– £20 for 150GB
– £30 for 200GB
– £35 for Unlimited

While EE’s Data Parachute feature sets it apart, there are competitive deals available from other providers. For instance, SMARTY offers 80GB for £8 per month or Unlimited data for £20, while Giffgaff provides options like 75GB for £10 monthly and 60GB for £13. It’s advisable for consumers to compare deals and select a plan based on their actual data needs to avoid unnecessary costs.
